WELNESS FANGO PROGRAMME

The application of fango should be conducted upon prescription and under supervision of the spa physician.

The mature mud, rich in vegetable anti-inflammatory substances derived from clay of the Euganean Hills, which undergoes a process of maturation in thermal water.

The application of fango is carried out by our experienced staff (the fanghini): The body is coated with a layer of about 5 - 10 cm of fango at a temperature of 39°C - 42°C and then covered with a sheet and a wool blanket to slow the loss of heat. The duration of treatment varies from 10 to 20 minutes. Once freed from the fango and after the shower, one plunges into a wraparound thermal bath of spring micro-dynamized water (with ozonized air to create a micro-effervescence) at a temperature of 37° C for at least 5-10 minutes. Then dried and accompanied in one’s room or in a particular place where one lays in bed, well covered, for at least 30 minutes to allow the classic sweating reaction.

The Ayurveda medicine researchers applied warm compresses to treat various diseases: It’s upon this fundamental principal that bases the formula of the ORIENTAL FANGO (Oriental Thermal mud treatment).

The ritual begins by spreading medicated oil. After the oiling, the Matured Fango is spread on the body, followed by the immersion in the thermal bath to which Ayurvedic hydro-essences are added. The medicated oil and the hydro-essences are always customized by the doctor or by the "life coach" during the initial meeting and help to restore the dosha balance. An initial and deep detoxification is guaranteed by the oriental fango (mud) and thermal bath followed by massages with medicated oils such as Abyangam Kerala with Swedanam or Shirodara, also with special treatments with warm compresses in which are collected medicinal herbs (pindaswedanam).

Very useful and of a high depurative effect is the Plantar Reflexology which has a normalizing action, that tends to restore balance to the body through the manipulation of the reflex areas localized on the feet.
